During this afternoon, the farmers at Pennypack will be giving a tour of their farm’s propagation operation, including their greenhouses and crop planning process in preparation for their 2017 summer CSA. Discussion about their soil mix, which Pennypack makes on-site, and considerations in germination and hardening off of seedlings will be included. This is a good opportunity for farmers interested in talking with another farm about their propagation practices, as well as those interested in greenhouse work, to deepen and expand their knowledge set. This Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture event is free and open to the public.
