Eric Oesterling retired in 2013 as a horticulture extension educator in Westmoreland County after 31 years of service to the fruit and vegetable growers of western PA. Not only did he work with commercial growers, but he also developed one of the strongest Master Gardener programs in the state, working with and training over 200 Master Gardeners. A native of Grove City and graduate of Grove City College in psychology and the University of Vermont in Plant and Soil Science, Eric worked at Bryfogles greenhouses in Muncy and Dries Orchards in Sunbury before beginning his extension careen in Westmoreland County.
