Mr. Baronner is a past president of the Association and served over 30 years as a Director. He also headed the nominations and resolutions committee and has helped plan the program for the Hershey Conference.

Mr. Baronner began growing vegetables and strawberries on 36 acres in 1939 for the wholesale market. Ten years later he opened a retail farm market In Hollidaysburg. His operation expanded over the years to 130 acres of vegetables.

Ninety percent of the production is retailed through his highly successful farm market. Sweet corn, cabbage, cauliflower and broccoli are some of the major crops. Also first-class strawberry growers, Baronner’s Farms has 14 acres of strawberries grown for the retail market and ‘pick-your-own’. William Baronner’s son Robert is now assuming the duties of operating the farm.
