Matt Kaelin will take us around the farm and talk about some of the practices he and his family are implementing to serve the Pittsburgh region. The home-built fence tensioner and installer was very useful this past year in helping Matt get deer fence up and will be on display. Heather Grab, the new entomologist with Penn State, will be joining the twilight to answer questions and offer insights on monitoring for insect pests of sweet corn. The Kaelin farm will be one of Western Pennsylvania’s trapping locations this year, so you can also learn more about how corn earworm is trapped and monitored.
